In 1993, Angela graduated from Columbia College at Columbia University with a B.A. in East Asian Studies. After some time working in the real world, she found a passion for clay. In 1997, she received her B.F.A. from the New York State College of Ceramics and was granted a Fulbright Scholarship to study ceramics in Japan.
